Rumi qualified as a medical doctor in 1992 and since then she has done postgraduate training and research in Neuroscience related to Psychiatry and in Hypnotherapy. She has worked as a Research Fellow in Palliative Care implementing Hypnotherapy in the standard medical care of patients with advanced progressive illness.

Rumi has developed a Hypnotherapy based programme for children suffering with pain and functional bowel disorder. She runs workshops for health professionals on the clinical effectiveness of hypnotherapy and lectures extensively on the medical uses of hypnosis.

 

Dr Peynovska leads a Hypnotherapy Clinic at Charing Cross Hospital, Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust, London.

 

In her work as a therapist she successfully treats people who have stress and anxiety problems, panic attacks, phobias, sleep disturbances, high blood pressure, irritable bowel syndrome, psychosexual problems, premenstrual tension, chronic pain, headache, skin problems, asthma and psychological trauma.
